Don’t forget our new opening hours are:
Tuesday – Friday: 3-9pm
After a busy weekend we have restocked all the beer so plenty to drink!
The inside of the pub is not allowed to be used so it’s outside only. We do have several tables under gazebos in case of the odd shower.
The kitchen also remains shut for the time being. July 07, 2020 at 02:43PM

Apologies for a bit of a long winded post but there’s a fair amount of information!
We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the Hare but unfortunately we have to put a few rules in place to ensure everyones safety. We ask that everyone observes these rules (local or not!) to ensure we can stay open for the foreseeable. Anyone seen not following the rules will be asked to leave, as failure to follow the guidelines could result in us being forced to shut again. We appreciate this sounds a bit serious but we want everyone to be safe and our livelihood is on the line.
Some of these rules are in place only for the first weekend to make sure that we can cope with everyone rushing back to get a proper beer! We truly appreciate that you don’t want to come to the pub to be given a rulebook to follow but we both need time to get used to the new way of operating so these are all subject to change.
We are going to be serving in the garden & for bookings only for the first weekend with a maximum of 6 per booking. Time slots will be 12 – 3pm (both days), 3 – 6pm (both days) & 6 – 9pm (Saturday only). There will be no availability for walk in customers over the weekend, so please ring the pub first to check availability before making a trip.
We are also bound by law to collect your names & contact numbers upon arrival, this will be no different to the details required when you normally book a table with us so don’t be scared! We are also going to be cashless with no minimum spend on card and all drinks must be paid for at point of dispense, we won’t be able to offer tabs of any kind.
We are tweaking our opening hours going forwards:
Tuesday – Friday 3 – 9pm
Saturday 12 – 9pm
Sunday 12 – 6pm
We will be remaining shut on Mondays.
We are holding off on reopening the kitchen for the foreseeable future so we will be serving drinks only.

It is with a heavy heart that we are going to cease all trading for the foreseeable future.
There is unfortunately no way we can justify putting our young family at risk for the sake of selling our remaining stock.
We hope you all follow the advice too and stay at home. Enjoy some quality time with your families and please if you venture out make sure you have a really good reason to.
Thank you for all your support over the weekend and we will see you on the other side.

A mega busy night for takeaways tonight, thank you to all those who came and supported us. We are now closed for this evening.
Tomorrow we will be open 12 – 3pm for drinks to takeaway and we will only be serving roasts to those who have pre-ordered today.
Keep an eye out on here where we will share our plans for the coming weeks. March 21, 2020 at 09:09PM

Despite the governments ideas to the contrary – we are still going to open until someone takes the keys off us.
As is everyone else, we are taking it day by day however, we are taking measures to ensure the continued safety of our staff and our customers. We have changed the hand soaps in the toilets to one that satisfies NHS hospital anti-bacterial requirements, we are also increasing the frequency of cleaning public areas especially door handles and we are making sure staff are more vigilant with any symptoms they recognise in themselves or others.
During this uncertain time we are having a lot of tables cancel their bookings which is understandable however we would like to reiterate that we are able to offer most of our menu to takeaway. We also have containers to take draught beer away – either 2 pint or 4 pint containers as well as bottles of beer and wine.
Once again, until it is deemed unsafe or illegal to do so we are very much open for business as normal.
Thank you for your continued support,
Will, Chantal & Phoebe. March 18, 2020 at 12:31AM
